Those who are 21 years or older can legally purchase cannabis in NJ. You can carry up to one ounce of cannabis at a time, with a possession limit of up to 6 ounces in your home. Home cannabis cultivation in New Jersey is allowed, with up to six cannabis plants for personal use or up to 12 plants for two or more adults. While it’s legal to purchase if you’re of age, cannabis consumption in public places or on federal land is strictly prohibited.
